Off the Bench with Bill Davis
How often do you go to a sporting event where every single athlete is happy at the end of the day?
I had never seen it. Until Thursday.
My two hours at the Special Olympics regional skills competition at Mount Vernon Nazarene University gave me a whole new perspective on sports.
I always believed it was true at games involving young kids. I have covered, watched, and even coached events involving young kids. The kids play their hardest. Some win, some won’t, but everybody gets that oatmeal creme pie and juice box in the end.
