DANVILLE — Martha Caroline Staats, 95, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018, at her home.

She was born Jan. 7, 1923, in Greer to the late Eldon and Floy Greer. On April 14, 1943, she was married to the late Ned E. Staats, who preceded her in death on July 2, 2006.

Martha was a member of the Gideon International Women’s Auxiliary, and Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her children, Ann (David) Fruth of Amelia, Pamela Cross of Boiling Springs, SC, Joanne (Lance) Boone of Howard, Thomas (Robyn) Staats of Danville, and Brian (Lanna) Staats of Danville; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; a sister, Marcella Pealer; a brother-in-law, Neil Staats; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Martha was preceded in death by a daughter, Christine Staats, who died Jan. 9, 2014.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, Feb. 17, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Danville Church of Christ, 15961 Danville-Jelloway Rd. Danville, OH. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. at the church with Rev. David Havens, Rev. David Fruth, and Evangelist Dave Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
