DANVILLE — A halftime challenge by Danville coach Matt Moore was all the Blue Devils needed Friday.

Danville led Centerburg by just one point at halftime, but went on a 10-2 run to begin the third quarter and cruised home with a 55-45 victory in Knox-Morrow Athletic Conference action at Danville.

“I challenged them in the locker room. I said ‘it’s a one-point lead right now. Let’s get it up to 10,’” Moore said. “We needed to run a good offense. A lot in the first half, it wasn’t necessarily we had bad shots, but we weren’t getting off great shots. … We ran a much better offense in the second half and played a lot better.”
