MOUNT VERNON — WNZR’s 20th annual Valentine’s Banquet will be held on Friday, Feb. 9, at 7 p.m. in Foster Hall, located inside Ariel Arena on the MVNU campus, 800 Martinsburg Road, Mount Vernon.

This year, Brian and Kelly Daniels will be the guest speakers with the theme of “Roller-Coaster Love.”

Brian and Kelly Daniels are both ordained ministers in the Church of the Nazarene and have served as pastors in youth and children’s ministries for over 18 years. Brian is the youth pastor at Mount Vernon First Church of the Nazarene, and Kelly works at MVNU in Institutional Advancement. They have been married for 23 years and have three children, Cody, Briley, and Annabelle.

The theme of “Roller-Coaster Love” will be applicable to couples at all stages in their relationship. All lasting love relationships are a roller-coaster ride of high points, low points and everything in-between. Some people thrive on the moments of anticipation and excitement, while others are at their best when everything slows down. Regardless of how we’re feeling, God gives us everything we need to stay on the ride, hold hands through the scary parts, and laugh at ourselves as we let go and trust in Him.

An Italian buffet dinner will be served including chicken parmesan, fettuccini alfredo, tossed salad, antipasto salad, fruit salad, garlic bread sticks and chocolate layer cake for dessert.

Guests will also get the chance to win from over $1,000 dollars’ worth of door prizes.

Entertainment will be provided by WNZR staff members Lilly Buckley and Rachel Rinehart.

Banquet tickets include the full buffet dinner, entertainment and door prizes. Tickets are on sale now but they are only available at the WNZR studios, located on the second floor of Founders Hall on the MVNU campus. The offices are open weekdays 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The deadline for getting tickets is Friday, Feb. 2, at 6 p.m.

All profits from this year’s Valentine’s Banquet will go to support MVNU broadcasting students who plan to attend the Christian Music Broadcasters Convention this year.
