MOUNT VERNON — Knox County Board of Health Wednesday voted to open a new full-time position for a sanitarian in training/registered sanitarian in the environmental health division.

Environmental Health Director Nate Overholt said that will bring his staff to four full-time and one part-time employee.
The person will be involved in all the Environmental Health programs.

It will probably by late spring before the position is filled, said Health Commissioner Julie Miller.

Following an executive session for evaluation, the board voted to increase the salary of Community Health Center CEO Lane Belangia from $73,000 to $78,000.
