MANSFIELD — Layne Lepley saved her best for last on Tuesday, and it was none to late for Mount Vernon.

The junior scored all 12 of her points in the fourth quarter, including making all six of her free throws, to lead the Yellow Jackets to a huge comeback victory over Mansfield Senior, 50-46.

“We scored as many points in the fourth quarter as we did the rest of the game,” Mount Vernon head coach Doug Savage said. “(The Tygers) really didn’t change their defense, it was still full-court pressure, but it’s what we’ve been doing lately, having a big fourth quarter.
