MOUNT VERNON — A Howard woman pleaded guilty to a charge that she caused a fatal vehicle crash.

Glenna J. Young, 74, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Mount Vernon Municipal Court to one count of vehicular manslaughter. The charge is a second-degree misdemeanor and carries up to 90 days in jail.

The charge stems from Aug. 26, 2017. According Ohio State Highway Patrol, Mount Gilead Post, reports, Young was making a turn in the intersection of Danville-Amity Road and North Ridge Heights Road when she pulled into the path of a motorcycle driven by Jonathan A. Wise, 17, of Danville.

Wise was transported to Knox Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Wise was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to reports.

Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 28.
