MOUNT VERNON — There are many changes in the air in Mount Vernon to further the progress and innovative spirit of the community. One such group pushing for local advancements is Knox Labs Inc.

Knox Labs is an up-and-coming nonprofit that seeks to create “makerspaces” in the Knox County community, including Mount Vernon Nazarene University’s future Engineering Department on South Main Street. The mission of this organization is to provide an innovate, collaborative environment that inspires community members to discover, develop and share their potential as makers.

Knox Labs is teaming up with Mount Vernon Nazarene University and Kenyon College to host an Appreciative Inquiry Summit on Jan. 31, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at MVNU’s Ariel Arena Foster Hall.
