FREDERICKTOWN — Sidewalks — including those maintained by the village — need to be kept clear of snow and ice per a standing ordinance, a Fredericktown councilmember said.

At the Tuesday meeting of Fredericktown Council, councilmember Dusty Frazier said some business owners are not complying with an ordinance requiring them to keep their sidewalks free of snow and ice.

“I walk downtown and its like a checkerboard” of sidewalks that are clear and those that are not, Frazier said. “I’m very disappointed with the businesses downtown.”
