MOUNT VERNON — Eloise Beach, 94, of Mount Vernon passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, at the Laurels of Mount Vernon.

She was born Jan. 27, 1923, in Knox County, Ohio, to the late William and Mary (Burress) Horn. Eloise was formerly employed at Lamb Glass and later owned and operated Beach’s Aquarium and Hobby Center. She enjoyed gardening and mowing her lawn.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Beach; her sons, Daniel (Kathy) Wolford and Thomas (Debbie) Beach; eight grandchildren; numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Dolores (John) Lauderbaugh; and her brothers, Dwight (Sharlyn) Horn and Ronald (Carolyn) Horn.

In addition to her parents, Eloise was preceded in death by her daughter Denise Spurgeon; her son Wayne Beach Jr.; and five brothers, Bill, Wes, Darwin, Ralph and Virgil Horn.

Friends may call on Monday, Nov. 27, from 12-2 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home. A service will follow beginning at 2 p.m. with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating. Burial will be held in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
