MOUNT VERNON — Brenda J. Boyd Hermani, 68, of Mount Vernon, died Saturday morning, Nov. 18, 2017, at home surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born April 14, 1949, in Zanesville to the late Charles and Gladys (Hagans) Boyd Sr.

Brenda was a member of the Lions Club in Loudonville. She was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes. Most of all Brenda loved spending time with her family and helping others.

Brenda is survived by her children, Treasa Dollman, of Wooster, James Arowood of Newark and Robert (Jessica) Kennedy of Taylor, Mich.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sister, Denise Boyd of Mount Vernon; brothers, Barry (Connie) Boyd of Mount Vernon, Dennis Boyd of Mount Vernon, Clay (Susan) Boyd of Butler, Dariel Boyd of Mount Vernon, Dale (Jodi) Boyd of Howard and Dean Boyd of Tiffin; brother-in-law, Edward Smith of Mount Vernon; several nieces and nephews; and best friend and caregiver, Bobbie Yocum of Mount Vernon.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Doris Ann Arowood; sister, Darlene Smith; brother, Charles “Sonny” Boyd Jr.; her stepmother, Marilyn Boyd; and her grandparents, Emmett and Carrie Boyd.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Brenda will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25, at the Loudonville Lions Club, 643 Wooster Road, Loudonville with Pastor Wade Wolfe officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.
