MOUNT VERNON — Carol Anne Roberts, 88, of Mount Vernon, passed away Nov. 16, 2017 at the Laurels of Mount Vernon. She was born on Aug. 25, 1929 in Buckeye Lake to Dallas and Ilo (Moffet) Dowell.

Carol was a member of St. Lukes Catholic Church.

She is survived by two daughters; Joyce (Douglas) Morris of Galion, and Linda (Jerry) Bevington of Texas; one son, Timothy (Lorraine) Roberts of Mount Vernon, sisters, Marilou (Billy) Rowley of Johnstown and Beverly (Bud) Elliott of Newark; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; longtime friend and companion, JoAnn Guinther; and many nieces and nephews

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Roberts in 1959; brothers, Dallas, Jack Dowell and infant brother Edwin Dowell; sister, Doris Raver; and one great-granddaughter, Kailee Postlewaite.

Friends may call on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville, where a memorial Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m., with Father Mark J. Hammond as celebrant. Inurnment will take place in Lock Cemetery next year.

The Lasater Funeral Homes in Mount Vernon are handling the arrangements for the Roberts family.
