MOUNT VERNON — A teen who made threats against Mount Vernon High School on social media was sentenced to house arrest and probation Wednesday.

The male juvenile, who is 15, was sentenced on one count of inducing panic in Knox County Juvenile Court to 30 days house arrest and an indefinite term of supervision by juvenile probation authorities. Under the terms of his probation, the juvenile may not visit or be re-enrolled in Mount Vernon High School and is barred from possessing weapons, Knox County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Christine Williams said.
