DANVILLE — The Danville Blue Devils and their fans are mapping out the path to Newark.

The Ohio High School Athletic Association announced the locations of this Friday’s regional semifinal football games. The Blue Devils will face Glouster Trimble at White Field in Newark, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m.

Danville (10-1) pulled away from Bishop Rosecrans in the second half to win Friday’s regional quarterfinal, 35-14. The Blue Devils are the No. 1 seed in Division VII, Region 27.

Trimble (9-2), the No. 5 seed, traveled to Lucas on Friday and held on to win, 20-19. The Cubs scored a late touchdown in that game but failed on the conversion.

The Johnstown Johnnies (9-2) continue their playoff run in Division V on Friday with a 7:30 p.m. game against second-seeded Portsmouth West. That game will be played at Zane Trace Athletic Facility in Chillicothe.

Although the Highland Scots lost last week, their stadium will host a playoff game Friday. Carey (8-3) will face Jeromesville Hillsdale (8-3) in a Division VI regional semifinal at Fishburn Field.
