FREDERICKTOWN — Fredericktown took a chance early on Friday and it paid off handsomely.

The Freddies, on their opening drive, went for it on fourth down on their own 44yard line. Freddie quarterback Jimmy Nussbaum ran a quarterback sneak that ended up going 56 yards for the touchdown. From there, it was all Freddies, as they cruised to a 42-7 victory over Centerburg in Knox Morrow Athletic Conference action.

“That first possession set the tone,” said Fredericktown coach Will Hartley. “We had fourth down and ran a sneak and it popped wide open.”
