MOUNT VERNON — Catherine Joan Moore, 82, of Mount Vernon passed away on Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, at the Mt. Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville.

She was born on July 14, 1935, in Greer to the late Edward and Mary (Solomon) Styers. Catherine was employed as a RN and worked at St. Ann’s Hospital, where she retired with over 40 years of service. She was a 65-year member of Grange and was a member of the Milford Church of Christ. Catherine enjoyed quilting, but most of all, she loved the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by her husband of over 58 years, Marvin Moore; her daughter, Pam (Tim) Evans; her son, Preston (Mary) Moore; seven grandchildren, Ben Moore, Rose Moore, Sarah (Josh) Dayton, Mark Evans, Cynthia (Corey) Johnson, Geoffrey Lee, Melissa (Kyle) Hamilton; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Shirley (Gary) Hughes and Colleen Brokaw.

In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her daughter, Amy Lee.

Friends may call on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, from 5-7 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home. A service will be held on Friday, beginning at 11 a.m., with Pastor Kevin Moreland officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Milford Church of Christ Missionary Fund.
