MOUNT VERNON — A Mount Vernon woman pleaded guilty Tuesday in Knox County Common Pleas Court to charges resulting from a high-speed chase.

Paula S. Popham, 36, pleaded guilty to one count of receiving stolen property and one count of failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer. In exchange for Popham’s guilty plea, Knox County Prosecuting Attorney Chip McConville amended the failure to comply charge from a third-degree felony to a fourth-degree felony and dismissed a theft charge brought against Popham from the same incident.
