MOUNT VERNON — The Nelons will perform in person on Saturday, Nov. 4, at 7:30 p.m., in the Memorial Theater, 112 E. High St., Mount Vernon. With tight family harmonies, timeless songs and a passion for worship, The Nelons have been captivating audiences for four decades. This is the third presentation of the season by the Community Concert Association of Knox County.

Standing on the legacy of founder and her father Rex Nelon, Kelly Nelon, her husband Jason and their daughters Amber and Autumn continue the family tradition of vocal excellence and incomparable harmonies. Accompanied by a live band, they perform a blend of southern gospel music and pay tribute to some of the best songs ever recorded from country, bluegrass and Americana artists. Perhaps you have seen them on some of the television programs called “Precious Memories” or “The Gaither Homecoming” hosted by Bill and Gloria Gaither.

This group has recorded over 35 albums, performed live on The Grand Ole Opry and have collected numerous awards. Some of their songs are “Gentle on My Mind,” “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” “Amazing Grace” and “I’ll Fly Away.”

Individual tickets are sold at the box office when the doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are also sold online at then choosing your selection from the many offerings. Season tickets are still available and continue to be a bargain in entertainment for Knox and the surrounding counties.
