MOUNT VERNON — Building trades students at Knox County Career Center on Oct. 18 completed what instructor Colby Clippinger called a “monumental” project, and to say that he is proud of what the students accomplished would be an understatement.

Both juniors and seniors worked on the project, which was to build a new parent drop-off/pick-up lane in what was part of the school’s front parking lot.

“We wanted to separate buses from cars,” Clippinger explained, “and we think this will be safer for students.”
