MOUNT VERNON — The Mount Vernon football team exploded offensively last week in a win over Mansfield Madison.

The Yellow Jackets may need to do it again to keep up with visiting Mansfield Senior this Friday.
The Tygers (6-2 overall, 3-1 Ohio Cardinal Conference) will bring its high-powered offense to Yellow Jacket Stadium for an OCC matchup at 7 p.m.

Mansfield is averaging 35 points a game and brings in one of the more dynamic players in the area.
Senior Jornell Manns can run the ball, catch the ball and has even thrown a pass or two. The senior, who is headed to Minnesota next fall, has rushed for 847 yards and 21 touchdowns, and caught 34 passes for 429 yards and five scores.
