GAMBIER — Wiggin Street Elementary School was transformed into “Camp-Read-a-Lot” on Monday evening as the school family gathered to celebrate literacy and the importance and joy of reading.

The very special guest for the occasion was famed illustrator Jeff Ebbeler, whose work graces the pages of books such as “Snow Day for Mouse,” “The Runaway Garden” and “My Sitter is a T-Rex.” Ebbeler was on hand to autograph copies of the books and talk with fans. Previously, during the school day, he had talked with students about the craft of illustration.
