GAMBIER — On Thursday at 11:10 a.m., Ken Harbaugh will be speaking at Kenyon College, giving a presentation entitled, “Veterans Deployed for Disaster Relief. The discussion will be held at Higley Auditorium, 101 Scott Lane, Gambier.

Harbaugh is the past president of Team Rubicon Global, a disaster relief organization that has helped train over 45,000 veterans to deploy in emergency response teams around the world. Team Rubicon is currently engaged in its largest response effort ever with teams deployed in Texas, Puerto Rico, Florida and Dominica.

Ken Harbaugh is a former Navy pilot who flew reconnaissance missions in the Middle East and off of North Korea. He is currently running for Congress to represent the people of Ohio’s 7th District, which includes Knox County.

“Looking at the recent fires, floods, and hurricanes, it can be easy to wonder or be afraid,” said Ken Harbaugh. “But as a nation, we are at our best in a crisis In the past month, thousands of veterans have deployed to disasters around the world to help people on their hardest days. That is what we are capable of. Those are the promises we keep.”
