Virgil Shipley/News A Mount Vernon man was flown by AirEvac to Grant Medical Center Monday afternoon following an accident on Kinney Road, just south of Henry Road. According to the Mount Gilead Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Buck Stevens, 40, was driving north around 4:25 p.m., when his car went left of center, crossed the road to the right, and ran into an embankment and rolled over. Stevens was outside the vehicle when the Mount Vernon Fire Department arrived. He suffered facial and possible head injuries, according to MVFD. OSHP stated Stevens was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, which remains under investigation. Stevens’ condition was unknown as of press time.
