U.S. Rep. Bob Gibbs voted in favor of the Republican-backed budget resolution last week, saying it strengthened the national defense, cleared the way for the House to tackle tax cuts and reforms and will help the economy grow.
He said the House has voted to fund the Great Lakes initiative, a program President Donald Trump proposed cutting, at a full $300 million, the same as last year’s budget, and “I believe the Appalachian Regional Commission is funded as well.”
