WOOSTER — Losing to Ashland two weeks ago may have set a trend that the Mount Vernon Yellow Jackets would like to reverse.

After leading 21-20, the Jackets gave up a turnover, then two touchdowns to fall, 35-21. Last week, the funk continued, as Mount Vernon missed a field goal on its opening drive, then watched as Hilliard Darby rattled off 31 straight points to win, 31-6.
