MOUNT VERNON — The electronic Classroom of Tomorrow and charter schools in general were again discussed at Wednesday’s meeting of the Knox County Educational Service Center school board.

Board president Richard McLarnan said taxpayer money continues to be used for the for-profit entity, which has been shown to not provide the services to students it says it does. Board members speculated as to why the legislature does not hold charters to the same standards as public schools, but did not reach a conclusion.
