DANVILLE — The Village of Danville will be selling off several parcels of land.
The village council passed an ordinance Monday night authorizing the sale of six parcels of land on West Walnut Street for $130,000. The sale is to the Eastern Knox County Joint Fire District.
“It’s land in and around the fire house. It’s currently being used by the fire department and is of no use to the village,” said Danville Mayor Bob Dile.
The land includes three parcels on which the fire station currently sits, as well as one just west of the building and two others across the street that have been used for parking.
