GAMBIER – The Gambier Community Library will host a free interactive learning program, “Hot Air Balloons” for children ages 8-14 at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13.

Cool science demonstrations will show the relationships between heat, pressure, volume, mass, density and buoyancy.

Participants will use these relationships to understand how hot air balloons fly, and then build one that actually works!

The balloons will be tethered with fishing line to help students retrieve them safely and to keep the environment and neighborhood “balloon free.”

The activity will be led by staff member, Sean Smith. For more information, call the Gambier Community Library at 740-427-2665.
