CENTERBURG — On the Centerburg Trojans’ first play from scrimmage Friday, Tyler Boales ran a sweep to the left and gained 18 yards.

That was the highlight of the day for the Centerburg offense.

Bishop Ready held the Trojans to 12 total yards Friday as the team took away each of Centerburg’s weapons one by one. The Silver Knights, meantime, were disrupted themselves by Centerburg’s defense, but still managed to come away with a 27-6 victory.

“Our defense played pretty well, considering some of the circumstances they were put in,” Centerburg coach Andy Colella said. “They kept battling. They did the things we asked them to do. Unfortunately, when you have some bad bounces, and you’re put in a bad spot, there isn’t much you can do.”
