MOUNT VERNON — Monday, the Knox County grand jury handed down trafficking charges against three individuals arrested in two drug busts last week.

Rockey E. Clark, 27, Mount Vernon, was charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, both fourth-degree felonies, and aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. The charges further carry a forfeiture specification for a security system and cameras, $46 in cash and a safe, which the indictment alleges were the proceeds of, or used to facilitate, drug trafficking.

According to the charges, Clark sold meth Aug. 11 and Aug. 28. Knox County Prosecuting Attorney Chip McConville said the possession charge stems from Clark having meth Aug. 30 when his West Gambier Street residence was raided by Mount Vernon police and Knox County Sheriff’s deputies.
