FREDERICKTOWN — The Utica Redskins continued their unbeaten season on Saturday. But, it wasn’t easy.

The Fredericktown Freddies presented more than just a passing challenge to the defending Licking County League and Division III regional champs on Saturday, taking big leads in two sets and forcing the Redskins to rally. Ultimately, Utica won, 25-15, 25-22, 25-16, but not before taking away some respect for the upstart Knox-Morrow Athletic Conference team.

Utica is now 9-0 on the season. Fredericktown is 4-2.

“I told my girls they had nothing to lose,” Fredericktown head coach Shena Beheler said. “I knew if we came out, played our best, and left it all out on the court, then that’s the best we can do. There was nothing to be ashamed of.”
