MOUNT VERNON — As the school season approaches, parents flock to the store to gather the list of school supplies their child will need for the year. For some, however, this time of the year can bring with it a great financial stress. This is why news that Job & Family Sercices would not be able to fund vouchers previously distributed by Interchurch Social Services was alarming to many.

Fortunately, Mount Vernon and Knox County residents come together when there is someone in need. And, after hearing the news about vouchers, donations came rolling in.
