MOUNT VERNON — The American School Counselor Association recently recognized the Knox County Career Center for its comprehensive, data-driven school counseling program and exemplary educational environment. The award designates KCCC as a RAMP (Recognized ASCA Model Program) school and was given to only two schools in the state of Ohio and 104 nationwide.

Guidance counselor Kathie Brown received the award on behalf of KCCC at the recognition ceremony held in Denver in July. She said 3,400 school counselors from elementary schools, middle schools and high schools were at the conference, and it was very interesting and informative to talk with counselors from all over the country.
