MOUNT VERNON — Respiratory therapists are vital members of the medical community who help patients during all walks of life; they are there to welcome patients into the world at birth, maintain healthy blood-oxygen levels throughout their lives and help them breathe easily during their last moments on earth.

Emily Johnson, a respiratory therapist at Knox Community Hospital, is a 2016 graduate of North Central State College’s respiratory therapy program. As a new member to the field, Johnson loves interacting with her patients and providing them with excellent care for their respiratory issues.
