MOUNT VERNON — A not guilty by reason of insanity plea could be in the works for a Gambier man charged with murder.

Kevin Remillard, 48, appeared Tuesday in Knox County Common Pleas Court for arraignment on one count of murder and one count of tampering with evidence. Remillard’s attorney, Public Defender John Pyle, entered not guilty pleas on Remillard’s behalf, but also said that a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity was possible in the future.
