ZANESVILLE — Stella Lucille “Lucy” Davis, 70, of Zanesville, and formerly of Mount Vernon, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Genesis Health Care Systems. She was born Oct. 20, 1946, in Mount Vernon, the daughter of Manford and Margaret (Ashburn) Butler.

Lucy is survived by her husband, William Davis of Zanesville; a son, Greg (Tasha) Short of Danville; a daughter, Nicole (Matthew) Banbury of Glenford; three grandchildren, Nathan Banbury, Tanner Banbury and Caleb Short; a great-grandchild, Clara Banbury and a brother, Kenneth (Clara) Butler of Bladensburg.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Butler.

Friends may call Wednesday, from 5-7 p.m., at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, where a funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. Mr. Phil Walker will be officiating.
