MOUNT VERNON — A judge ruled in favor of the state following a hearing in which a Danville woman sought to suppress evidence found in a Dec. 16, 2016, search.

Jamie D. Beckett, 37, “voluntarily relinquished” a cigarette pack containing oxycodone pills to a police officer, according to Knox County Common Pleas Judge Richard Wetzel. In a June 9 motion to suppress hearing, Beckett said she did not consent to the search and was handing the cigarette pack to a friend.
