FREDERICKTOWN — The village will apply for a grant that could help pay for a full-time school resource officer.

Fredericktown council Monday gave Police Chief Roger Brown the green-light to seek an Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Solutions (OCJS) Community Oriented Policing Services grant that would pay 75 percent of a school resource officer (SRO) salary. The grant is for up to $125,000, paid out over three years.
