DANVILLE — After listening to a comprehensive proposal, members of Danville’s Village Council on Monday decided to spend the money and upgrade the village’s computer security system.

Ben Rule, vice president of InfoLink, explained in detail a proposal to secure the computer system for the village’s employees and police department. Rule had earlier this year proposed a software security system for the computers, but council wanted to know more about the proposal, as well as what it might cost if hardware were included.
