MOUNT VERNON — Ver-Mac Industries recently received an award from Alber Enterprise Center at the Ohio State University Marion for Visionary Strategic Leadership Development.

The company’s goal was to achieve a culture change, including enhanced decision-making, influencing higher levels of employee performance, developing key leaders and involving employees in planning for key performance indicators.

Mitch Durbin, vice president/general manager, accepted the award.

Also honored for outstanding achievement and excellence were Marion City Schools, RelaDyne, United Church Homes and two solutions partners: Lynn Geist and James Franks.

“These clients and partners were honored for their overall commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in their respective industries,” stated Myra Wilson, center director.
