Bill Davis/News Tashina Langdon, aka R2Diva, third from left, gets through the pack with the help of teammates, from left, Ladybull, Shear-Ra and Higgs Bosom, during the first half of Saturday’s Stardust match against Roundtown Roller Derby. Stardust won, 374-144.

MOUNT VERNON — When Tashina Langdon walked into her first Central Ohio Roller Derby practice, the other skaters thought she was someone else.

“I have a doppleganger named Robin, who is the coach’s girlfriend,” Langdon said. “They thought I was her.”

The skaters began calling her “R2” for Robin II.

One year later, going by the name “R2Diva” as part of CORD’s “B” team, Stardust, Langdon earned her first award when she was named Best Blocker in her team’s 374-144 victory over Roundtown Roller Derby on Saturday.
