CENTERBURG — Keith A. Bennett, 46, of Centerburg died unexpectedly Thursday afternoon, June 15, 2017, at his home. He was born Nov. 18, 1970, in Richwood, W.Va., to Randall K. Bennett and Victoria D. (Rush) Higgs.

In high school, Keith was a member of the football and wrestling teams. He enjoyed racing cars and dirt bikes, customizing cars, playing video games and he especially loved to brighten a person’s day by telling a joke or pulling a prank on them. Keith attended the Apostolic Christian Church in Mount Vernon and volunteered at Interchurch. Most of all, Keith will be remembered as being a great father to his children.

Keith is survived by his children: Lakota Bennett of Mount Vernon; Maxwell Bennett of Van Wert and Peige Bennett of Mount Vernon; a grandson, Aedyn; his mother, Victoria (Harold) Higgs of Mount Vernon; his father, Randall K. Bennett of Canton; sister, Diane Bennett of Mount Vernon; brother, Sean Bennett of Massillon and niece and nephew, Kayla and Randall Bialota.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2017, at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
