DANVILLE — The 2017 Turkey Festival will hold the annual Turkey Festival Parade on Saturday at 5 p.m. The parade will form at the square in uptown Danville and descend to the festival grounds in the Danville Memorial Park.

Those who wish to be parade participants should line up on the square in Danville no later than 4:30 p.m.This year’s parade grand marshal is Donna McFadden, owner of McFadden’s Hot Spot Pizza in Danville.

McFadden was born and raised in Danville and has been the owner of McFadden’s Hot Spot Pizza for nine years. She has spent her life giving back to her community. Just some of the things she has been involved with include her sponsorship of the junior high baseball team’s uniform fund this year and her great support to the Tom Cottrell family and the Danville Police Department.

McFadden’s Hot Spot Pizza will also provide the pizzas for the Band Booster’s fundraising food stand at the Turkey Festival,

Highlights of this year’s festival will include performances by a wide variety of musicians and performers including The DeVault Ridge Band, King Darwin and Six Miles to Nellie.
