On Sunday June 11, 2017 at approximately 12:30 pm officers responded to the area of 405 Gaskin Ave. to check on the welfare of Kevin Remillard. An acquaintance in the area had discovered in his driveway, a note along with some of Kevin’s property. Officers were unable to locate Kevin or his cousin Nick Remillard at the residence. When officers discovered a possible crime scene inside the house, they secured the area and obtained a search warrant. The Bureau of Criminal Identification was also contacted for assistance in the investigation.

​At approximately 8:45 pm Nick Remillard age 20, who also lives at 405 Gaskin Ave. was discovered by officers, deceased in an abandon pool behind the house. He appears to have suffered a gunshot wound. The investigation is ongoing with assistance from the Knox County Coroner’s Office and BCI.

​Kevin Remillard may be in possession of a handgun should be considered dangerous. A bicycle that he normally rides is also missing from the residence. It is described as black with a front fender and numerous stickers.

There may be a milk crate strapped on the back.
