HOWARD — Lois J. Roten, 75, of Howard, passed away June 8, 2017, following an extended illness.

She was born Dec. 22, 1941, in Powell Co., Ky., to the late Zachariah and Gladys (McDaniel) Campbell.

Lois was a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Temple. She enjoyed reading, music, bird watching and landscaping.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, C. Howard Roten; a son, Stefan (Theresa) Roten of Tennessee; a daughter, Amy M. Roten of Howard; seven grandchildren; her siblings, Rev. Bill (Joyce) Campbell, Reva (Bob) Race, Brenda (Bill) Wooten, Rose (Larry) Fritts and Jack (Sandy) Campbell all of Texas.

Lois was preceded in death by her son, Michael A. Roten.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 13, at 10 a.m., in Workman Cemetery in Danville with Rev. Bill Campbell officiating. The Lasater Funeral Home is handling the services for the Roten family.
