MOUNT VERNON — Rastin Tower will be adding some color to Ariel-Foundation Park.
According to Foundation Park Conservancy Park Manager Scott Zimmerman, four LED flood lights are being installed around the tower about 10 feet above the top of the staircase.

“They will shine upwards to illuminate the tower and we’ll be able to change the colors through a control unit at the base of the tower,” Zimmerman said. “We can, for example, have them red and green at Christmas, or red, white and blue on the Fourth of July. We’re hoping the lights will be installed and we can light up the tower Saturday.”
