DANVILLE — Camp Hope is taking over the grounds of Camp Mohaven in Danville this week to provide a fun and safe environment for youth to deal with their grief.

“Superheros” is the theme this year to show the kids that even the heroes that they look up to have struggles they are dealing with personally and that personal loss doesn’t mean someone can’t be a real life Wonder Woman, Spiderman or Superman.

“They have a lot of wonderful characteristics, but they are also vulnerable,” said Kathy Wantland, Hospice of Knox County Bereavement Coordinator.
