MARENGO — The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office is looking for information regarding the whereabouts of a man suspected in the robbery of a Marengo bank.

According to Sheriff John K. Hinton, the US Bank was robbed at about 1:30 p.m. on Monday. The sheriff’s office is looking for a black male, approximately 6-feet tall, slim build, wearing a red ball cap, a blue Adidas wind breaker with three white stripes down each sleeve. The jacket also had an Adidas logo on the left breast. He was also wearing blue jeans and black shoes.

“The suspect may have fled in a dark grey or black color, four-door, midsize sedan,” Hinton said in a press release issued Monday at about 5 p.m. “It is believed there was a second individual driving the vehicle. It is unknown if the suspect was armed, as no weapon was brandished.”

It is also unknown if this robbery is connected to a bank robber in Sunbury, Hinton said.

Anyone with information should contact the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office at 419-946-4444. Citizens are never asked to confront potential suspects, but call 911 instead.
