CENTERBURG — The circus is coming to Centerburg on Thursday, May 25. The Kelly Miller Circus, one of only a few traveling shows still in existence, will appear at the Centerburg High School parking lot, 3782 Columbus Road, for two shows at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Advanced tickets are available in Mount Vernon at First-Knox National Bank on the square and in Centerburg at First Knox National Bank, Home Town Market and the Centerburg Public Library.

Circus morning at 9 a.m. everyone is invited for free to hear about circus life and tour the grounds, as well as watch the elephant have breakfast. Then at 2 p.m. the public is welcome to come watch the elephant get a bath and prepare for the shows.

The 2017 show includes acts with motorcycles, dogs, hula hoops, fire, rope spinning, an “educated” mule, foot juggling, elephants and, of course, clowns.

The circus event is a fundraiser for the Centerburg Lions Club. The organization receives a greater share of the advance ticket sales than from tickets sold on circus day. Show your support for Centerburg Lions by purchasing your tickets early. Proceeds this year are targeted for Centerburg Memorial Park.
