MOUNT VERNON — Charlotte B. Ferris-Strouse, 43, of Mount Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 6, 2017, from complications of Type 1 Diabetes. She devoted her entire life to her children.

Charlotte was a free spirit who impacted many lives. She was a mother, sister, daughter and a fighter.

She is survived by her nine children, Jamie Strouse, Cassandra L. Strouse, Kylie A. Wood, Dylan B. Wood, Mickey T. Wood, Kiana R. Wood, Autumn T. Kromoff, Sarah J. Kromoff and T. Logan Kromoff; two grandchildren, Jasmin L. Strouse and Bralynn L. Edwards; four brothers, Charles Ebie, Chris Swope, Casey Swope, Kurt Swope and a sister, Amber Paprzycki.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Karen Ann Wheeler and Chuck M. Swope.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

A private celebration of life service will take place at a later date.
